How do we get wrinkles?
Healthy skin is made up of 3 layers:
The Epidermis - The epidermis is the outer layer and functions as a barrier to the external environment. The cells of the epidermis move from the bottom layer to the top layer. Once these cells reach the top layer, they flake off.
The Dermis - The second layer of the skin is the dermis, which contains blood vessels, lymph vessels hair follicles, sweat glands, nerve endings, collagen and elastin. Collagen gives the skin its strength, elastin gives the skin its elasticity. The cells of the epidermis receive their nutrients from the blood vessels in the dermis.
The Subcutaneous Tissue - The bottom layer of the skin is the subcutaneous tissue containing fat cells. These fat cells provide insulation to the body and make the skin look plump or full.
As we age a reduced supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells created by pollution and by undrained toxins cause damage to the skin. The metabolic distress of the collagen producing cells slows the rebuilding of the matrix, new collagen and elastic fibres. The connective tissue then loses compactness, effecting skin hydration, reduced blood flow and lymphatic drainage which dull’s the skin.
How do we treat wrinkles?
Acupuncture, homeopathic injections and hyaluronic acid injections help bring out our natural beauty and radiance by improving the circulation of blood, increasing collagen production and muscle tone, which results in reduction of wrinkles and fine lines, while promoting overall health and well being of the entire body.
Facial Rejuvenation - Facial rejuvenation is a unique and noninvasive treatment to address the signs of aging utilizing acupuncture and homeopathic remedies.
It is a safe, natural and cost effective treatment for addressing wrinkles, sagging skin and cellulite using acupuncture and homeopathic injections. These procedures are designed to reverse, improve or erase the earliest signs of aging.
In a 40 year olds skin the collagen and elastin support network begins to break down, the skin becomes dryer, the blood flow begins to slow down and new cell productions decrease. All of the above increase wrinkle formation. At the same time the underlying fat cells in the face shrink and the excess skin begins to sag.
Facial acupuncture helps to stimulate the body’s natural processes of cell reproduction and growth. It has shown to increase circulation of the blood and lymph and to maintain healthy skin and muscle tone.
Utilizing specific homeopathic remedies has been an effective and safe alternative to conventional pharmacological treatment of aging skin. The remedies can be used both as a treatment for reducing the signs of aging and as a preventive treatment for maintaining a youthful face.
