Before Treatment

Athlete’s foot is caused by fungi that infects skin and nails. Athlete’s foot is one of the most common fungal foot conditions. We call it athlete’s foot because of its tendency to infect athletes who often wear hot, sweaty athletic shoes that are a good breeding ground for fungus. It can easily be contracted by going barefoot in locker rooms or public showers; always wear some sort protective foot wear in these kinds of situations.

Symptoms and signs:

  • itchy, burning rash, odor, scaly, peeling skin or small blisters
  • pale looking skin between the toes due to excessive moisture from sweat ( mostly on the 4th-5th toes)

Factors that increase the chance of getting Athlete’s foot
